Op-eds may not get the attention they once did, but they remain one of the most effective ways to establish credibility and influence a conversation. Here are four lessons I've learned from placing opinion pieces over the years.

Establishing a narrative is a must in this era of AI and volatility. A narrative demonstrates a throughline from your products to your ambitions. It reassures your stakeholders that you know where you're going. And it reinforces your credibility as a leader and game-changer.
Moreover, if you don't build a narrative, the social network will build one for you. And it may not be to your liking.

AI can make decisions. But is that an advance too far that makes it dangerous? I argue that machines have been making decisions for years, and that genuine agency requires elements that machines do not possess, such as emotions and aspirations.
